So, it's not the Ritz, and the beds are hard. But ... Fantastic location. The staff are great. Very clean! Quite good value, and The library bar ... VERY Irish and like a lovely club. Best of all, it's as close as you can get to my favourite bar in Dublin - Izakaya.

The hotel is old and retains some victorian charm, but needs a refurbishing. The chair in our room was so old the legs broke beneath my husband. He only weighs 170 lbs. The bathroom looked like it had a recent renovation but the workmanship was poorly done. Our room was spacious with high ceilings but bordered on seedy. The elevator... More

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at The Central Hotel and I would definately recommend this hotel to anybody that wants to be in the centre of Dublin, as EVERYTHING is within walking distance. It is located just off Grafton Street, which is a pedestrian walkway for all the main shops, and a stones throw from where... More

Overall this hotel is a gem! In an amazing location it was within walking distance to many of the attractions and night life. For the price we paid what we got was excellent an average size clean room. What more do you want. The one big problem was how hot the room was we turned the radiators off but it... More

I have stayed at The Central a number of times. I like it because it's an independent hotel and it's old style. I booked a double room but got a triple so it was very spacious. The room was to the front of the hotel so was not too noisy but we were next to the door leading to the... More

We were down in Dublin for one night to go to a concert, us and two kids 18 and 14 so they counted as adults really. We managed to get a room for four and I was worried it would be a double and camp beds but we had asked for four adults and we got a room with four... More

First, the good: huge room, quaint old hotel, wonderful library bar. Shower was adequate, and bed was comfortable. Price was very reasonable. The bad: Noise. We did request a quiet room; however, our room had only single pane glass, and the karoke bar across the street kept going with loud music and loud people in the street until about 4:00... More

We stayed there on a Monday night recently. Upon check in the receptionist was nice and friendly and was full of smiles even though it was 11pm. Pity we couldn't say the same for what looked to be the manager sitting beside her who ignored her when she asked for the keys that was sitting beside him. When we went... More

I had been told about this hotel before I booked it I read several of your reviews and now back home I have mixed reactions. We arrived yesterday and the lady on reception wasn't really interested about us in fact she was bordering on being rude , in the background a gentleman appeared from nowhere he looked dishevelled and don't...
