The Russell Court Hotel is just off St. Stephen's Green in Dublin city centre. The Georgian-style hotel has great nightlife and individually designed rooms with period furnishings and antiques. The hotel features some of the Dublin’s hottest nightlife. Dicey's Garden is extremely popular with visitors and locals. Russell Court Hotel hosts Krystle and Bojangles nightclubs. Krystle was winner of Best Nightclub in Ireland in 2007,2008 ,2009 ,and 2010.The Russell Court is a hotel for those who like to party with its bars and nightclubs open 7 days a week. Because of this all rooms can be affected by noise. We do not recommend the Russell Court Hotel for those looking "for peace and quiet ".

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

By far one of the worst hotels in Ireland. The place wreaks of cigarettes so bad that the smoke alarms went off on the second floor at 1am. My eyes are burning as I’m writing this. Staff wouldn’t provide even a fan, they refused to refund us. I understand it’s under a club and I could deal with that but the fact that this place smells like its going up in smoke and fire alarms are blaring, throat and eyes burning, it’s seriously dangerous.

Staff was less than useful, room on 2nd floor smelled so Bad of stale old cigarettes. Hands down the smelliest place I have ever stayed. The window opened 4 inches maybe! Called front desk to request a fan to try to get some air in the place and was told she would ask the manager … for a fan?! And the. She’d call back … she did not. I asked for one the next morning …. No fan … I called again … no fan … I finally went and found one one down the end of the hall and took it. We bought fabric freshener and room spray , neither helped . The loud music from the club till 230 was no bother ! But the smell ruined everything and the lack of help to deal With the issue was worse ! Find another place !

They sell their rooms to companies in America, which offer a price and then charge taxes and vat etc on top of it. Rooms are small. Staff are NOT nice, friendly or helpful. No breakfast. Could hardly get back in with the queues for the night club, needs to be organised better.

Okay if you read the reviews, you know there is a noisy event center at the hotel. It's loud and obnoxious. Knowing this, I asked for the quietest room they have. They put me on the third floor. Perfect! There's a lift to get bags up. We usually walked the stairs but that's us. There's a nice breakfast of crossiants and fruits each morning. The staff are so kind, even carried out my bags to the taxi. The location could not be better. Only a block off Fiddler's Green. There's a great coffee shop nearby. Easy to walk into city center. Best cleaning staff I've had even at much pricer hotels. Take your own shampoo and lotions, though. Bed was comfortable. Definitely a budget place but a nice one.

Great hotel, clean comfortable. Friendly staff. Room great. Yes there's a nightclub downstairs which went on til 3, but it didn't disturb our sleep. If you're coming for a break with friends, this hotel is fab.

This has been the worst hotel experience ever. The noise was intolerable, music blaring until 3am and then noise from those exiting the club and to top it off, delivery of beer barrels clanging. Needless to say, I didn't get any sleep during my stay there. I would not recommend it to anyone over 25!!

The room was good, if a bit dated, but the stay here was totally dominated by the pounding noise from the nightclub(s) until 3 AM. Management's attitude when I complained was unhelpful and dismissive.

Seemed like a nice enough place upon checking in. Got to my room and noticed the disposable earplugs in the bathroom. At this point I was worried and I was right to be. It is more a nightclub than a hotel. Bouncers are on the door checking for proof that you are indeed a resident. The street itself is lined with nightclubs/cocktail bars too. Once the music started I could clearly hear each and every track being played and also the drunken revellers coming and going up the staircase. Maybe there are night the nightclub is not open? But if you are somebody who books a hotel in expectation that you will get a quiet night's sleep then I would think again before booking here!

Comfortable room , clean and decent size. Room staff were very pleasant and accommodating, they did a wonderful job. All staff were pleasant and helpful, gave us recommendations on places to eat , etc. Nice central location, Tram Cafe across the street was a bonus . Stayed for 2 weeks and would definitely stay again.
