I had reserved a private room with en-suite bathroom and we got exactly this. The room however was not very well ventilated and there were plenty of mold spots to be found. The bathroomwindow had no curtain but the shower was hot and had decent force. It's what you can expect when paying so little for a room in a... More

This is really awful, and gives a bad impression of Dublin. It is not cheap compared with similar places...but... The room was freezing cold, and stank of stale cigarette smoke. It was really filthy. The wifi only worked in the kitchen. Kitchen was filthy and my food was stolen from the fridge. I left early, and no refund was given.... More

I decided to stay in a hotel at the spur of the moment and I ended up here.. this was my second time to stay here and the first time I had an extremely bad and unsafe experience. This time upon arrival I was greeted by an overly friendly man. He handed us the key that was attached to a... More

No hot water, sometimes no water at all. Kitchen disgusting! Not clean! Too noisy to sleep at night. It's old, broken things, not nice... It was horrible! The area is not safe, it's a drug saler zone. Taking a shower was everyday a new experience... No water or not hot water or you start but suddenly there is no water... More

The sign at the desk says no refunds on bookings, why? Because as soon you turn up and realizes how bad it is they have your money. Now I'm a pretty easy going traveler and I take these reviews with a grain of salt but SO many negative reviews it couldn't be that bad... it was :( Booked it to... More

I normally take the reviews at the extreme sides of the scale (both overly happy and overly negative) with a pinch of salt, however for this hostel/fly trap/chewing gum & mildew party central it's spot on. If you ignore all cleanliness related concerns I might have with this place, however, stay well clear of it for another reason: We were... More

At the arrival we booked in with very nice and helpfull staff. Came to the room and we've been slapped in the face by a mess. First of all beddings were not changed at all. Just like the other guest left thats what we seen. At the table there was a nice piece of chewing gum. Floor hasnt been hoovered... More

AVOID! I would have chosen 0 if the rating monitor would have let me. Disgusting dorm room. Seems like perminant residents smoke in bed - not using ash trays - from the piles of ash, and probably consume a fair amount of cider\vodka - from the empty bottle collection. The light switch was cracked and I saw a spark when... More

The D1 hostel is the most disgusting place I have ever had the displeasure of staying in!! Me and my friends were actually scared of going back there after our night out! The state of the bathroom was just unacceptable and I'm sure the environmental health would have a field day in there! The area of town is very undesirable... More
