My husband and I were on a lovely road trip around the west coast and up to Donegal. We got to downtown Donegal quite late about 9.30 pm and struggled to find a nice place to stay. Worried that we hadn't booked anywhere and it was getting late- my husband looked up B&Bs from his iphone and came across the... More

On December 11, 2011, my wife and I had the privilege of staying at the Arches B&B in Donegal, Ireland. It was just what we wanted. It was just five minutes away from the city center and yet was quiet and peaceful as it set over the Lough Eske. We really enjoyed the view of the sheep grazing on the... More

This property was excellent and a beautiful place to stay. It seems a bit remote, but as we found out is not very far from Donegal at all, and we were able to easily drive there for dinner. Our host had recommended we go to Harvey Point Hotel for a bar meal, however they had ceased that service only the... More

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Arches. The rooms were beautiful and so relaxing with a sitting area stocked with tea and coffee; towels were plush; and we had a choice of delicious breakfasts each morning. Noreen was always gracious and somehow arranged for a rainbow in the view from my room! More

Well off the main road overlooking a lake. Best views from a B&B I have ever seen. Rooms were clean, well designed and comfortable. Nice quality towels and bedlinen. Garden was amazing and much praise should be given to hosts husband who apparently looks after them. Breakfast room well designed and cutlery/crockery good quality. Excellent value for money all round.... More

I wasn't going to write this review at first but thought other fellow B&B patrons needed another opinion. Arches is a well appointed Bed & Breakfast, roomy accommodations, up-to-date bath facilities and beautiful grounds. However, my wife and I felt like "hotel guests" not B&B visitors; when we arrived the welcome was somewhat odd, we introduced ourselves but the owner... More

This is a top rate B and B and Noreen, our host was very helpful and friendly. Our room downstairs was large, spacious, with comfortable beds, and had a lovely new bathroom. We wished we could have stayed longer than one night to enjoy the view of the Lough, and walk along the country lanes. So peaceful and pleasant. We... More

This guest house is just lovely. It is situated in the country along very small country lanes. If you haven't stayed in the country in Ireland this is the perfect place to do it. There are nice walks to take right out the front door. Noreen is a completely gracious hostess. Her breakfasts are delicious. Don't see how you could... More
