I had booked into stay with this B and B as i was doing work in UCC. Having read the reviews on tripadvisor after i had made my booking i was nervous. I walked in, the door was opened and onbody was there to greet me, there was a bad smell and the carpet going up the stairs was torn.... More

the house is not maintained well and has torn carpets on the stairs as you enter and peeling paint on the walls. The rooms are small and have a cheap build / quality feel to them, particularly the bathrooms. It is hard to believe this is a 3 star B&B. Our room was on the top floor, and had a... More

I have been there before, it is very good, and better than before. Very friendly staff there and a lovely dog.

Paper thin walls - very tricky shower - either scalding or freezing, hairdryer doesn't work - everything very old and tired. Breakfast very average - luckily we weren't ripped off price-wise - as soon as they think you are a tourist an extra 10 euro is added on. The caged angry dog (spaniel) in the back was most disturbing.

Stayed here in June with husband. Found it a great location for exploring the city and surrounding Cork areas. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the breakfasts were substantial and good value, room was quiet, airy and clean. Loved the parking at rear of building, it saved the scramble for onstreet parking every day. All in all we thoroughly... More

Stayed here with husband for 4 nights in June this year. Had wonderful stay ..room was clean, airy and quiet, staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us, ideally located for us to explore Cork city and surrounding areas. Breakfasts were great and set us up for a day of exploring! The carpark at back was major advantage... More

very cold & stuffy atmosphere - the shower was new with hot water but a fan went on automatically when you went in - there wasn't any heating during the night (march) & very noisy in the streets too, and finally the breakfast didn't taste good at al! I paid 50 euros for THAT ! ! ! take my advise,... More

This B & B was on a list of suggested accommodation for an event I was attending in UCC, and as far as location goes, it was perfect. On the Western Rd, directly across from the main entrance to the college, and only a 15 minute walk from the city centre. There were problems though! There were three of us,... More

Stayed a weekend in this Bed and Breakfast, Found the owner a great character, with a warm welcome. Excellent accomadation and substantial breakfast. Parking at the rear which is essential in Cork and very close to the City Centre.

We ended up in Cork sort of by accident and didn't have anything pre-booked. None of the recommended b&bs/hostels had availability so just did a bit of a door knock on some B&Bs we were near. I'm normally on the ball with this sort of thing, when I orignally walked in I caught whiff of a smell but the lady... More
