My wife and I stayed at Briaville B&B for a week while visiting Ireland from America. For the life of me, I can't understand why one of the reviewers was so disgruntled. We found the B&B very delightful and Eleanor couldn't have been more accomadating. In fact, she went way beyound that required from a B&B hostess. We do not... More

In my travels I have stayed in hotels throughout the world, so I have an expectation about where I stay and what it should be like. Recently I stay at the Briaville B&B when I am in the Cork area...over the past month I have been staying there from Monday to Friday most weeks. The landlady Eleanor is a very... More

I wish travellers paid more attention to BAD ratings thrown in between GOOD ones. I made this same mistake a few weeks ago when I booked 9 nights in Briarville B&B, even though I had read some bad reviews on this accommodation and its owner. This trip to Cork was purely leisure; I was meeting up with relatives. I'm not... More

Stayed here one night. Eleanor was very nice! Clean rooms, good breakfast (with plenty of choice). It is not in the city center, but with a car it is 5min. And there is also a bus. Overall I think good value for money. Would stay there again.

Delighted we chose to stay here - ticked all the boxes for what we needed. The room was very clean and comfortable and it close to the city and a short walking distance to Douglas village.

Stayed here recently for one night on a work trip. It's a short drive to the Rochestown Park Hotel if you've business there. Nice B&B, great breakfast. Eleanor is very friendly and can't do enough for you. The Briar Rose Pub up the road is a great spot for dinner and very convenient.

I stayed at the Briarville B&B for almost two weeks when I first arrived in Ireland from the U.S. and I am so thankful that I landed there... Cork city is a short walk or bus ride, your choice as the bus travels every ten minutes right by the house. Douglas Village is a short walk away. The house is... More

We stayed for 3 nights, very comfortable B&B, ensuite double room, warm with nice view over the garden. Very good breakfast each morning at a time agreed with us. Comfortable lounge to relax in, so no need to stay in our room. Tea and coffee facilities in the room with TV. The location on South Douglas Road is excellent, easy... More
