I have stayed with Carmel and Frank Daniels several times. I find them to be more than great hosts. Staying with them is like staying with beloved family. The rooms are a bit small, by my American Standards, but very tidy , warm and comfortable. Carmel runs a fine house and kitchen, while Frank runs the attached Alymers Rest Bar,... More

This was the second time we stayed at the Rose Cottage and for the second time the service was first rate. We've been going to Ireland for quite awhile now and always visit Ennis after a couple of downers we discovered the Rose Cottage. The Rooms were clean and the Hostess was great; very helpful, pleasant and more than friendly.... More

Although conveniently located, this was the worst B & B we stayed at in Ireland - it barely rates OK. All in all a grubby and untidy place. The youngish couple with a baby who jostled to avoid the short straw to check us in were totally without charm. Their mother/mother-in-law was more civil, but cooked appalling scrambled eggs. Breakfast... More

My two adult children and I stayed at Rose Cottage the night before our 6 a.m. flight home from Shannon Airport. We chose the B&B because it was an easy walk into town. I'd been to Ennis several times before, but always stayed outside of town, in Quin. Since I love the pubs in Ennis I wanted to be able... More

A B&B which is more like boarding house. Rooms up and back to a Pub (which was not noisy) - previous restaurant no longer there. Ensuited rooms showed years of wear and tear with old towels and no extras to be found. Bedroom doors did not lock or were hard to lock - not exactly a feeling of safety. Breakfast... More

This was a great stop for our last night in Ireland, close to the airport (30 min) for a 9 am flight. Plenty of gas stations around to fill up your car before returning it. I did not have a reservation but I checked the website and the price was E80 for two. When we arrived, they said the price... More
