stayed 3 nights here recently, check in was friendly and efficient no problem at all. The room needed a good makeover as did the bathroom, i reported a fault in the bathoom the next morning to reception who in turn reported it to housekeeping who in turn reported it to maintenance who in turn did nothing. Spent two nights on 2 separate weeks at the West County in May 2013. Room very clean and comfortable. Bathroom could do with upgrade: difficult to use bath as couldn't stop shower head dripping quite heavily; shower head could be replaced with more modern, more effective one. My ideal sort of hotel really - high standards, but aging and therefore able to offer really good deals. “Great service at a great price”

I was in Ennis for two days and stayed at the West County - check in was very friendly and efficient, the fitness / pool areas were great, the bar was friendly. Breakfast is quite basic but more than adequate. For location, value for money and friendliness this hotel is hard to beat

“Excellent service at a great price”

A big thanks to all the staff who were helpful and extremely pleasant at all times. The hotel is basic, but clean and efficiently run. Good breakfast from a well stocked buffet. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want value for money and friendly service.

Stayed for two nights last weekend, food was absolutely gorgeous, had the asian curry and the breakfasts both mornings were excellent and plenty of choice, rooms are very good as well, had great nights craic on Saturday night dancing to the music, will def. return
