My husband and I held our wedding reception at the Brig O Doon House Hotel on 12th August 2011. There are not enough words in the English dictionary to explain how wonderful the hotel, staff and area all are! We instantly knew that the Brig O Doon was a very special place when we first went in search of a... More

We visited this fantastic hotel during Burns Week when it had been very busy .... sincerely impressed by the facilities and the excellent, professional staff who could not do enough to ensure the guests were attended to. Our room was fabulous , beautifully furnished with elegant touches including a canopy around the bed ..... and it was huge !...with a... More

The dining was great ===kind of expensive but a beautiful setting!!!! The bridge is stupendous. My real complaint was with the owners===the treatment of the staff left a lot to be desired. For fear that the gratuity would go into their pockets I had to hand it directly into the hands of the wait staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was appalled when told... More

We booked this hotel for our Christmas day meal in the restaurant. We were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our table and gave us a few minutes to settle before returning for our drinks order. The service was perfect throughout our time there. The food from each of the 4 courses was well presented and we all... More

We visited the restaurant in this hotel whilst staying at Craig Tara holiday park. We had the Early bird menu which was slightly cheaper than the usual but the food was out of this world amazing, fresh, top quality. Prices compared to what we would have paid on the holiday park so in our opinion excellent value for money. We... More

My partner and I visited Ayrshire this year and stayed at Sundrum Castle holiday park and decided to return again (as visited on a day trip from Wemyss Bay last year) to the lovely village of Alloway, birthplace of Robert Burns. Alloway is a lovely little village with a great history which is intertwined with Robert Burns and his life... More

On a stay at Craig Tara caravan park, my Mum and I decided to call into the hotel as I used to visit the bar while at college. I had the steak and sausage pie, which was to die for, so much so that I asked the man that served us for the details of the recipe. My mum had... More
