We spent 26 days on a T/A cruise, 3 nites in London before reaching Beaches and were absolutely exhausted. The owners, Jan and Calum, greeted us and offered a pot of tea and homemade shortbread and that was the start of a wonderful 6 nite stay. The room was beautifuly decorated and the bed was to die for. It was... More

Stumbled upon the Beaches on Booking, com, where it was rated as 9.9!! I sure wasn't left dissapointed! Upon arriving we where greeted the daughter of the owners, she couldn't have been more helpful with giving us advice on the area. The room itself was lovely, modern and you could see a lot of love has gone into decorating the room.... More

We had a great, yet unfortunately short stay at Beaches. Our triple room was spotless clean and recently decorated with taste. The breakfast was excellent and our host was very friendly, also considering our little kids. We also got a free parking ticket in front of the house, so parking was not a problem ar least now in low season,... More

Arriving in Ayr from our travels to other spots in Scotland (Burntisland, Kelso, Edinburgh) we had reservations that this small town could compete with the other popular spots and B & Bs we had visited. We could not have been more wrong. The warm welcome we received from Jan, Calum, Kirsty was only the beginning to the many welcoming and... More

A group of 5 of us stayed at Beaches for 3 nights at the end of our April trip in the triple room with the window to the garden and the cute apartment style room with kitchen in the back of the house next to the garden. We had just spent 9 nights at superbly wonderful b&b's and had high... More

This Guest House was fantastic. The rooms and en-suite were decorated to a very high standard and the facilities were excellent. I especially loved the towels as they were extremely soft! Jan, the owner, was really friendly and eagerly helped us with directions to nearby restaurants, bank machines, petrol station etc. The cooked Scottish breakfast she made was the best... More

Stayed here after Christmas and been meaning to write up review. This is an excellent and very professionally run B&B. Jan is super friendly without being imposing. I travelled around Scotland and Northern Ireland during this trip and it was the best breakfast I had anywhere. Room itself was newly renovated and you really couldn't find fault, very well designed... More
