Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here from the 18th-21st of June. We had a few issues with our rooms at the start but it was quickly resolved. Occasionally somethings where missed when ordering food and drinks therefore did not arrive. However these were minor issues that were all resolved quickly and possibly just due to new staff. I took part in the archery on Friday the 18th with only one other person and the instructor, who was very helpful and recommended us to book the quad bikes. The quad bikes are definitely well worth the £50! There were also 2 of the restaurant staff that we got on very well with.

Booked in here for 2 nights, was greeted at first with puzzlement why we were there, was half thinking where have I booked, until we met Julia who is so pleasant. When booking we noticed no pets, but on arrival there was a guest who had a dog, this was on the floor below is so everyone we passed the dog barked, whish is beyond a joke also on that floor you could smell the dog, whish isn't something you expect. Our room was on the top floor, all I can say is if your in the top floor be careful of the stairs they are slightly dangerous since the stair wobbles slightly and the hand rail wobbles. Breakfast was really nice but there are not really enough seating areas for everyone. The WiFi isn't great up in the top floor and half the time I had to go to top of stairs for the signal.

This was a last minute booking as I needed somewhere at short notice. I turned up quite late (22:00, I think) but it did say there was a 24 hour reception. They hadn’t checked my booking, but were very pleasant and happy to have me. The room was a single bed with shared bathroom, but it was literally the only room available in Ayr that night. It was at the top of two flights of stairs, the second of which was tricky to negotiate with luggage. It was clean and comfortable, and spacious enough for a single occupancy. It is very dated though. The neighbours whom I was sharing a bathroom with were very active in the night - I counted five visits to the bathroom! It may be worth thinking about making the top floor just one room, as the noise is quite something.

Although the Bedroom was dated - they are in keeping with the date of the house. The rooms were clean, adequate, comfortable. The location was quite and only a few min from the centre of Ayr. The Breakfast was good and set you up for the day. We stayed 2 nights and went to eat in the evening to the "Waterfront" which I have to say served excellent food.

Parking good and room and bathroom clean but feel the guest house is in need of some general repair as handles on some doors very wobbly, window handle off, wobbly toilet. Furniture and bedding quite old fashioned and wardrobe and drawers filled with random items - Christmas decs etc. Shared Bathrooms were filled with other people's toiletries???? Owner was really nice and guest house was close to the centre and would get a better review with a bit of work, modernising and brightening up a bit
