Visited this hotel on a National Holidays weekend in Feb '12. Set amongst beautiful backdrop, this hotel was very pleasant - breakfast & evening meal could not fault, plenty of choice. Whilst not a good view, the room was clean and comfortable. I did find it strange there was no shower above the bath but hey is didnt matter. Staff... More

As we booked the "standard room" (the other rooms had far grander names), we didn't know what to expect. We weren't disappointed. I wish all hotels' standard rooms were this comfortable, clean and had such a homely feel to them. The owner was very nice and friendly and the breakfast was very tasty. We were in Pitlochry to do some... More

We stayed at The Claymore in Pitlochry for two nights in November. The location is ideal for walking to all parts of Pitlochry, including the Festival Theatre, the Dam/Salmon Ladder and Loch Faskally. The Claymore was of a very high standard for cleanliness, comfort and professional hospitality. The host was very friendly and informative, making several good recommendations for local... More

We spent the night in one of the suites complete with four-poster bed which was bigger than any bed I have ever slept in and very comfortable. Graham and Diane are the resident hosts and the combination is perfect, great chat from Graham and a great breakfast from Diane. I recommend the porridge with whisky - fantastic! More

On route through Scotland we stayed at the Claymore Hotel for 1 night in September and we are glad that we did. We arrived late in the evening to very warm welcome and were even more pleased to find a warm and welcoming room which was tastefully decorated and scrupulously clean. In the morning this high standard was matched by... More
