Very friendly hosts, great breakfast and a good choice on the menu. Room lovely, very clean with four poster bed and very nice en-suite. Couple of minutes walk into Pitlochry centre. We would be very happy to stay here again.

A very warm welcome. Superb breakfast with good variety and freshly cooked. Other reviews have noted that there is a need for some renovation but Richard and Sally (who have long experience in the business) have their plans following their recent purchase of the property. The location is excellent. We would happily recommend this guesthouse and visit again if we... More

Very well located, dominating Pitlochry (over a small hill with "postcard" view, 1 minute walk from main town road), it was a nice surprise. Comfortable rooms, with fully refurbished bathrooms. Wide choice of food for breakfast, properly cooked. Recommended!

Richard and Sally, the hosts at Carra Beag, are very welcoming and Sally cooks a lovely breakfast. Talking of the breakfasts there is a great choice of cooked food and it is all fresh and locally produced. Rooms 1 and 3 overlook the garden and the hills at the front of the house. Room 3 is old wordly with a... More

We chose this due to good reviews. On arrival the first impressions were a little disappointing as some decorative work is required externally and internally. Having spoken to the friendly owner who took over in November 2012 he has plans to do the required work and unless you are fussy about "new" then don't be put off.. Once in and... More

Spent two nights here recently in one of the attic rooms. The room was basic and its decor a bit shabby. However, it was clean, comfortable and cosy. There was lots of choice for breakfast. Recommended.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly, breakfast was sublime, great choice of cooked goods if that's your thing, which it should be. The room was cosy and utilitarian, although couldn't get internet access at the very top due to weak wifi signal; not a problem though as the tv had plenty of trash to rot our brains with. Great price... More

We spent 2 nights there in the beginning of December. Really well maintained place! Clean, warm and cozy! Convenient location! Great hospitality, huge, fresh breakfast! Old house with history and tranquil atmosphere for the vintage lovers! The owner had some quite interesting stories :) Highly Recommended!

Spent two night in the beautiful countryside around Pitlochry. Hosts were welcoming and friendly. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Attic room small but adequate. Breakfast was excellent and offered a variety of options. Warm and cosy lounge to relax in in the evening. We will be back!
