Went here for a friends birthday lunch and had a nice meal. Staff were friendly and accomodating as we had also brought our own cake. There was a wake in the other side of the hotel but this did not detract from ourselves and the service at all. Nice home cooked food.

We stayed at this hotel for Hogmanay dinner which lasted until the wee hours. The meal was fantastic, the staff helpful and friendly, the surroundings and other patrons friendly to us as well. Been to a few highlands hotels that have failed to hit the spot. This one was a pleasant surprise, even so far out of season it was good, (very quiet, but good). I'll admit, I was leery of B&Bs but in Scotland it seemed that was all that was available. Westlands changed my opinion. Our stay was wonderful. The room was comfortable, mattresses were excellent and the food was outstanding. Ian made sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Went fordinner with our son and very good friends. Location good and very comfortable environment. Service good and quality of meals excellent. I loved the creme brulee lol. Will return again when next in Pitlochry.

After leaving Callander we headed north to Pitlochry! We stayed at the Westlands for two nights and had a really super time! There is plaenty to keep you busy in pitlochry... theatre, restaurants, walks... and (if you like that sort of thing) shops! Staying one night, the reception was great and very helpful. The requested ground floor room was very spacious with plenty of storage but the bed quite lumpy! Location was great as it was spitting distance from High st. Meals v good and substantial.
