I stayed here for one night on business in January 2012. The hotel was very convenient for the centre of Perth, railway station etc...and there was car parking onsite. The breakfast staff were very pleasant and efficient. Those are the positives. On the negative side, the bedrooms and bathrooms are in need of an update - everything is just a... More

Dear DW67, Thanks for taking the time to write a review of your stay. Getting constructive comments good or bad are vital for my business, and I really appreciate getting them from my customers. Stayed here on business and chose this htl because of it's proximity to railway station and centre. Ideal for both. Reception service speedy and efficient. Bedroom small, clean, cold and with a draughty window. Had a tasty but very small and overpriced bar meal, salmon and mash for £10. btl wine £17 or £18. Burger and 5 chips also £10,... More

Dear DebsPoulton_Le_Fylde, Thank you for your review in connection with your recent stay at the Queens Hotel. Customer feedback is vital to my business and helps keep us on our toes! We stayed overnight in Perth as a way to avoid driving in Edinburgh (I am from the US, so driving on the otherside of the road is a bit ackward - no accidents I am happy to report). The Best Western has ok. The rooms were nothing special. The bartender in the lobby bar(young fella, very nice) was the highlight... More

Dear JPCzar, thanks for taking the time to write a wee review after your return to the States from your trip in August 2011. I will pass your comments onto Neil the bartender - im sure he will appreciate it - that he was the highlight of your short stay with us. I need to try and recruit more staff... More

I paid £50 a night for a double room with breakfast. For that money the hotel is good value. Located between the train and bus stations, the hotel is well located and between 5 and 10 minutes walk from the main shopping area. Public areas and rooms are both dated, but are clean and fuctional. Every room is equipped with... More

Dear Simon263, Thanks for your review posted in January along with your objective comments. We are close to completing some refurbishment and as you correctly stated, new flat screen TVs are in all bedrooms. We still intend to keep on investing in the hotel fixtures and fittings in the future. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back... More

I've stayed in this hotel often in the past and never had a problem. The rooms have everything expected these days and are clean and well maintained. I used the swimming pool as well which is a good facility. The breakfast is first class, I had smoked haddock with poached egg most mornings, excellent quality and perfectly cooked. We ate... More

Was booked at this hotel by a colleague who I was traveling with on business while I was in Scotland. When I first heard it was going to be a Best Western, I was neither perturbed or excited. I know what I'm getting when I got to a Best Western - nothing fancy, generally clean, generally well kept. It's a... More

The first noticeable thing about this hotel is the very strange smell when you walk in, a fishy, musty smell that has tried to be covered up with some kind of airfreshener - not nice. Directed to my room and there was building/refurb going on in one of the bedrooms close by where it smelt like workmen had been smoking... More

Stayed here for work and whilst it's clean enough, the dinner was a disappointment and there's a very odd smell in the place. Maybe due to the swimming pool? I've said it's clean but from the bed I can see three spiders in the cornicing. Not nice. Some of the staff are friendly and helpful but one or two if... More
