My husband stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago, the room was clean and basic, although being no1 room we were above the kitchen, and you could hear everything. The bar was very basic and not really the place for relaxing drink as there was not much atmosphere. The dinner on the saturday night was faultless, although a... More

I came along to the anglers with my Wife a couple of weeks ago. We took up the itison offer which was excellent value. The rooms and the bar are basic but the Restaurant was well decorated, had a nice atmosphere and well the food was excellent. Recently dined at Tom's Kitchin in Edinburgh which is 1 Michellin Star and... More

I frequently dine out with friends and was desperate to find a new venue for our group. I visited here with my wife for a 5 course evening meal having purchased a 'groupon deal'. Initial impressions were excellent. Ample car parking and the entrance from the car park was pleasent enough. The interior is clean and simple but a little... More

We spent one night here recently. We had our children with us. They were given a room of their own for free (under 12). The food was fantastic and the wines very reasonably priced. My children also really enjoyed their meals, the 8 year old having a half portion of an adult option and the 6 year old eating from... More

My first visit to the anglers inn can be summed up in one word.........."Fabulous!" Sat in the middle of the Perthshire countryside, this little Gem of a restaurant is not to be missed! I dined on the new autumn al a carte menu, and everything was well received, from the gin and tonic sorbet, to the Partridge legs. Everything our... More

Whilst travelling from London to Torphins (Deeside) decided to stop for quick pint and sandwich at roadside pub. Was slightly disconcerted to find Anglers was actually a restaurant rather than an informal pub location, however, too remote a setting to move on. Chose (not that there was a choice on this Sunday) the set menu and settled back to enjoy... More

Thank you for your review of The Anglers restaurant. The day in question was actually the start of our new high tea menu and your feedback is greatly appreciated. While I am surprised that you were disgruntled by the availability of only one menu, despite having said yourself that you were only stopping by for a sandwich, I would like... More

I stayed at the Angler's in February and it was a really lovely place. As good as any big city Gastropub, the food was amazing and service was always with a smile. Location is a little remote but if you have a car, it's only 10 minutes into Perth. I'd definitely recommend it for a relaxing weekend break. More

My wife and I recently dined with another couple at the Anglers, the other couple had ate in it when it was a Gastro pub and felt it wasn't very consistent. But i had no dout that after the last time i had ate their it would not disappoint and it didn't. The restaurant has now got linen on the... More

One night stay in November - we were the only couple there which was odd at first but really pleasant once we got settled in. Got a rate of £150 for dinner, bed and breakfast. More of a restaurant with rooms the Inn is spotlessly clean and the rooms comfortable if a little basic. I think this place a some... More
