I spent a night here back in April. A friend and I were planning to cycle from Land's end to john O'Groats for charity, so we decided I would drive to Wick and leave my car there, then fly back to manchester - so we had a vehicle near John O'Groats to bring our bikes back after the journey. The... More

Completed a tour of North of Scotland, staying at both B & Bs and Hotel, the Clachan was the best accommodation we stayed in. Our Landlady Elspeth was most helpful and friendly. Accommodation is superb with standard of finishing of the highest order, borders on five star. Breakfast was very good with a wide ranging menu. Nice touch from Elspeth... More

We stayed here last year and because it was so good we decided to give it another try on our visit to Wick in May. It was still as good. The rooms, all on the ground floor, are very comfortably furnished and the beds are firm, as we like them. The bathrooms are modern with large showers that give you... More

This was my second trip to Wick with my son and we had the pleasure of staying at The Clachan for a second time. It really is not possible to fault. The room was spotlessly clean, and very well appointed. Bathroom, again, was superb and breakfast great too. Elspeth, the landlady offers a very warm welcome and is an excellent... More

Elspeth was the most caring host you could want. Our room was excellent The bed first class and her husband even went the extra mile for us. If you want a first class breakfast this is the place for you. I can't say enough good things about it

Staying here was a great experience and one we'll recommend to friends. The room was in a private section of the house so no 'staying in someone's spare room' feel. We had to leave for an early train and on explaining we'd have to miss breakfast were told that 'That's not a problem' and were served a leisurely very early... More

I had a lovely stay at the Clachan, a lovely house, excellent food and very friendly. Elspeth also helped me with my work by suggesting people and organisations to visit. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Stayed three nights here whilst visiting relatives. Stayed in a double room on single occupancy rate. The room was beautifully furnished with wall mounted TV and luxurious en suite. The breakfasts were superb with a wide choice including local delicacies available. Room and front door keys were provided so you were free to come and go as you please. Elspeth... More

I stayed here with friends for a wedding in Wick. Could not fault the place at all. Immaculate decor, bright and clean accommodation. Our room was lovely. Bathroom spotless with large walk in shower. Breakfast was not at a set time but by mutual arrangement. Food was well presented, varied and well cooked. The owner Elspeth went out her way... More
