My wife and I spent 5 nights at Brooksby, and were very happy at the choice. Chris and Karen are a pleasure to know, and made us feel like friends. The house is charming and quiet, and the location-- on the edge of downtown St. Andrews-- is very convenient. It is not in the middle of everything, which makes it... More

Have stayed here a couple of years ago. It was love at first sight. Have travelled around the world and stayed at various B&B and guesthouses and Brooksby house is the best. Did not write the review last time as I was a bit selfish and wanted to keep it a secret gem otherwise I might not be able to... More

My husband and I traveled all through Scotland staying at various B&B's. Brooksby House in St. Andrews was by far the best. The rooms were very spacious with lovely views. The decor featured local artists which added charm. Chris and Caryn were very freindly and accomodating. Breakfast was excellent. We would recommend Brooksby house to anyone traveling in the St.... This is a real home from home. The rooms are very comfy. We were not in one of the superior rooms (we knew this when we booked as we were lucky to get in) but it was still well thought out and luxurious. Our hosts were very welcoming with lots if advice when asked. This guest house has parking which... More

We stayed three nights at Brooksby House and only wish it could have been longer. Chris and Caryn were wonderfully friendly and welcoming hosts. We were in the Nicklaus Room - a large, sumptuous room on the first floor overlooking the rear garden, quiet and sunny. The food was of the very highest quality and breakfasts offered a wide range... We stayed in the beautifully appointed Nicklaus room with a view of the garden complete with resident ducks. The house itself is situated just far enough from the main streets to avoid any noise but all attractions and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Chris and Caryn were excellent hosts and do everything to ensure you have an enjoyable stay.... More

Our stay at the Brooksby House was perfect in every way! Our room was extremely comfortable and well-appointed, and the location is superb....very close to town but nestled in a quiet spot. The breakfasts were delicious and varied with many options for different pallets. Chris and Caryn welcomed us warmly and saw to our every need. A truly exceptional place! More

What a perfect start to my first trip to Scotland! Chris greeted us as we pulled into the parking lot and it only got better from there. The house is off the main drag but only a 5 minute walk to town. Our room was very comfortable (a heated towel rack!!) and breakfast was always delicious. We were there 4... More

The Brooksby was the first stop on a whirlwind tour of Scotland...and whilst it was the best possible start...we now wish we had saved it 'til last....! Chris and Caryn are very welcoming and always ready to help with what must be the same old questions! The Brooksby is a treasure.....and on the one hand we would definitely recommend it... More

Had stayed at the Brooksby House once before, and recently returned for St. Andrews graduation. Everything was exactly as I remembered it! It is immaculate, centrally located, and tastefully decorated. The rooms are spacious and modern. Chris and Caryn are perfect hosts, and the breakfasts are delicious. The Brooksby House even has parking, which is hard to find in St.... More
