Just back from a 3 night stay at this B&B to attend a hogmanay wedding. We had booked to stay next door at the Charlesworth but they sold their property and proposed Brownlees...and we certainly can't complain about the change. The room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable, with a massive double bed and spotlessly clean everywhere. Tea & coffee... More

Staying at Brownlees was the best experience in B&Bs in St. Andrews. Jaqueline and Trevor are extraordinary hosts, providing us not only with great breakfast and great recommendations where to go for food and drinks or which course to play, but simply made us feel at home. After staying the originally planned two nights, we decided to prolong our stay... More

We stayed at Brownlees for 3 nights at the end of September. The house is spotless and very comfortable and the breakfasts were AMAZING! Our visit coincided with Freshers Week so there were some quite loud parties going on in the town, but Brownlees itself is situated in a relatively quiet area and yet just a short stroll into town.... This was a great place to stay, handy to town and the golf courses (not that we play). The room was very comfortable with a good shower - only drawback was the 39 steps to the top of the house but as Trevor helped with the bags, we can't complain. Trevor and Jacqueline were very welcoming and we had some... More

My husband and I stayed in the Brownlees guest house in September for a little night away from the hustle and bustle of Glasgow. Jackie and Trevor are so welcoming and their hospitality was brilliant. The room was perfect, nicely decorated and clean. The shower was amazing and powerful, the bathroom has little touches such as a sewing kit and... More

Our last stop on our three-week tour of the UK was at Brownlee's Guest House in St. Andrews, and we could not have chosen a better place to end our trip!!! Second to none location if you are a golfer, and the hosts, Trevor and Jacquie are always interested in chatting about a 'game' or two. All of the shopping,... More

Everything was fantastic here. The bed was big and really comfy. The breakfast was really yummy. The shower was great. There were extra little touches that made Brownlees a great place to stay. More
