We stayed at Pillars House for 3nights while we looked around Edinburgh. Local bus stops were within easy walking distance, and one day we walked to the Royal Mile then back.

Pillars house was originally built and owned by Crawford which were offices and a spirit store in the late 18th century. Most of the building still has a lot of its character left as you can see as you walk in through the main entrance. The courtyard where our free parking is situated was traditionally used as the delivery entrance where the horse and carts brought the whiskey from the highlands to be blended.
