this was not the best holiday inn i have stayed in. Rooms a bit dated,no fridge,iron or safe.No complimentary water or biscuits..(may seem petty but it all adds to the experience)that said I did get a good deal via superbreaks so cannot really complain.If you want the Zoo this Holiday inn is ideal..but also not too bad for the city..... We enjoyed the location of this hotel. It is right beside a wonderful zoo...complete with Pandas. The food was really good, our waitress was Karen and she was wonderful. This is not 4 star. Dodgy lifts, poor rooms with poor quality sheets, bathroom ok, poor service and unsavoury guests. On two of the three days there a staff member let himself in our room after one knock before 8am-9am?!?!?! I was coming out the shower and barely dressed which is completely unreasonable behaviour!!!!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE.

Service in this hotel was extremely slow, and a point to note for all Asians, many of the staff were racist towards colored ppl. This especially so for the restaurant manager who was extremely rude towards Chinese in particular and mumbled rudely when the seating was not allocated by him.
