Location great, breakfast & evening meal very nice & excellent value for money, Stayed in room 270 on the second floor, room quite small but everthing required and it was clean & warm with an excellent shower, no view out of window except a brick wall about 20 yards away. We will use this hotel again when next in Edinburgh. More

Princess St is a fantastic location and the Mercure is in the middle of it. The room was clean and plenty of room for the 2 of us. The staff were polite. Stayed on Saturday night, Hotel has an excellent location with good helpfull and cheery staff. Yes the bathrooms could do with a bit of an update, but location (especially with castle view)and staff make up for this slight short comming. If looking for a a nice hotel in an excellent loaction, give it a go. More
