We were visiting family and stayed at the B&B for 2 nights and cannot fault anything about it. The first thing you notice is how spotlessly clean it is. Anne showed us to our room which was the Harbour room, it is a beautifully decorated spacious room with everything you need for your stay. The bathroom was large, stylish and... More

We stayed eleven nights at Annes beautiful B&B. We stayed in the Harbour Room which was very comfortable, our ensuite was just amazing. The breakfasts were first class. Anne was a great host who could not do enough to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Will definitely be back. More

A superb B & B centrally placed but a peaceful location with a superb view of the castle and water. Absolutely spotless and every need catered for. Wonderful breakfasts - try the smoked haddock and the homemade blackcurrant jam is the delicious. Anne was charming and extremely courteous. I stayed for 3 nights. This superb accommodation is spotless and definitely lives up to its 4 star gold rating. Anne is a marvellous host, providing delicious breakfasts - the best we have ever had in a bed and breakfast. Booked for 2 nights only stayed 1 as the room with the seperate shower room is very small only 12' x 9' with a small double bed which was comfortable. We were early back to the room in the evening, the wicker chairs had no upholstered cushions and were uncomfortable. The TV was a postage stamp. The B & B... More

An outstanding place in every respect. Beautiful furnishings, a lovely bedroom and bathroom, very spacious, a great view of the castle and a delicious breakfast. Anne was a very accommodating host and helped us navigate the countryside and figure out the most scenic route back to Edinburgh. She is located in the center of a charming and picturesque artists' town. More

Key points for us were the fine location, excellent accommodation, warm and friendly welcome, and first rate breakfast. The room was well supplied with guides to the architectural and artistic aspects of Dumfries and Galloway in general and Kirkcudbright in particular, which added to the interest of our visit. Our host went out of her way to be helpful and... More
