We were in the area on a business trip, and went for dinner at this hotel. Food was very good value, delicious and freshly cooked unlike some of the commercial chains.Our waiter was a super young man, Gavin, who served us well and was helpful and polite.. Next time i will be booking an overnight stay. thank you.

Had a good 4 days, great location and extremely friendly and efficient staff. Room 20 still to be refurbished but still comfortable and quiet. Good food. Music on Friday night and great spring weather laid on too.

We had used the George and Abbotsford before but only for the reastaurant which was excellent. then. But the place has changed hands about six months ago and new brooms came in to change things for the better! we stayed at the g and a for 1 night during the coast to castles bike ride they provided storage for the bikes, good bar, great service and decent resteraunt at the end of a long ride, perfect for what was needed

Stopped at the George and Abbotsford on Friday for their curry night.It was very tasty and good value for money.In the bar they had live music on which was very easy on the old ears the place seemed to be busy enough and the staff were all helpful and polite .Would recommend and return in the future .
