Rather nice B&B in a lovely, peaceful location. Stayed 2 nights, bedroom was nicely decored, bed was very comfortable, with high quality white linen and a nice, snug duvet, in which I slept deeply both nights. Bathroom was clean, well presented with Organic Scottish Lavender body and hand washes. Towels were like new, thick, high quality cotton, shower had good... More

We stayed at the Thornloe for three nights when we first arrived in Scotland. It could not have been a better stay. We were there with our two children (1 and 4) and my parents. The inn was clean and well-maintained. The inn keeper was accessible and incredibly helpful when we had questions. The location was also perfect...just a 2-3... More

The Thornloe B&B is perfectly located in town with a short walk to the Harbor and all the sites. The view of the Harbor from our room was wonderful. The room was quiet, comfortable, and roomy. Plenty of parking for our large rental car. Oban is a beautiful area and we hope to return to see even more. More

We had a wonderful stay at Valerie and Alan. We felt like family members. Val could answer any question we made. Also good understanding for sport life when returning with dirty clothes from orienteering competition. The breakfast was delicious served in the room with a stunning view over the city roofs to the sea. Garden terrace. Walking distance to the... More

My wife and I stayed over 2 weeks in Scotland and England. We would rate Thornloe #1 of our bed & breakfast stays from Edinbugh, Oban, Keswick, London and Lyme Regis. The breakfast meal was superb (best of the trip) and advice sound on walks about the area. Excellent view and an overall great experience. We would eagerly return here. More

Great little inn overlooking the water in Oban. Rooms were comfortable and well-decorated, breakfast was delicious, easy walk to town or up to Tower. Oban is a charming town with plenty to do and see. More

We stayed here recently for 2 nights. The room was large with a very comfortable bed. All facilities you require from a B & B. Towels changed daily. Lovely soft towelling bath robes provided. Excellent breakfast. The house has lovely views but is situated at the top of a hill which you have to go down to get into town,... More

Last minute booking for just one night. Could easily have stayed longer. Bed was to die for. So comfortable. Very convenient for town centre. Liked the idea of having a time slot for breakfast. Everyone knows where they stand. Great welcome by Valerie and the recommendation for restaurants was top notch. If in Oban again we will deffinately stay at... More

Lovely b&b with great view from the bedroom - the large bed was the most comfortable ever. Very good breakfast including fresh fruit. Good location a few hundred yards from the town - so lovely and quiet. Val & her family were very welcoming - we shall definitely return. Plenty of good restaurants in Oban More
