The Kings Arms Apartments are ideally situated on the front at Oban, no more than 100 yards from the railway station and ferry terminal. We stayed in the Kings Arms Apts for almost 3 weeks while we were volunteering at Dunollie Castle and the 1745 House (a gem of a little museum by the way - http://www.dunollie.org/). I don't think you can get more central self catering accommodation in Oban. I stayed here for 5 days with my elderly parents. Very well situated for the ferry and the railway. We only used the car once during our whole stay (to visit Crinan). There was a lift to the apartment and the view across the bay meant there... More
