We read all the reviews before we stayed. But it seems that the owner Debbie had left some time ago and the present owner has let the place to "Rot". Very dirty and old second hand furniture. Very glad to leave.

The hotel and our room had a musty smell, our room was small and furniture looked like it been pulled from a skip, the one small mirror in the room was so marked ( even when i removed the dust ) was unusable. thankfully only booked in for one night, could not leave quick enough,
I have never stayed in a friendlier and more welcoming hotel. I loved my stay. My room was beautifully arranged, imaginatively decorated, spacious and simply spotless. We stayed for a weekend (3 nights) at the Cliffburn Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Our room was spacious and very clean, the staff were helpful and the location was handy for everything.
We ate in the hotel restaurant on 2 of the nights and the food was superb. Breakfast was also excellent.
