This hotel has closed down and is being sold by creditors. There are plenty of great B&B alternatives in the area, both in town, a few hundred meters from the Marine, and in the surrounding countryside.

Closed. Seems to have been for a long time. Pity, great location.

I brought a group of 50 ramblers to this hotel for two nights. From the moment we arrived everyone was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were excellent and the dinners and breakfasts were terrific. I just dont have a bad word to say about this hotel. It's not just my personal opinion but the opinion of the other 49... More

My friend and I stayed overnight at this hotel. Receptionist was pleasant and our room was very clean and warm. The view from our bedroom was superb! Dinner was served in the bar (staff member again was very pleasant) and the meal was of a high standard. Breakfast was also very good and wholesome. At no stage did staff tell... More

intended to stay for two nights and use as a base to explore northern ireland but left after one. bathroom dirty. toilet soiled. went for a drink after arrival and glass obviously wiped with dirty rag as it stank. Brought the kids to the leisure centre which is not attached to hotel - you have to walk through car park.... More

I called with my aunt to the Marine hotel on Saturday the 31 July 2010. We went to use the ladies, which you could find easily as the smell coming from them met you at reception. There was excretment on one of the toilet seats and all round the toilet. One of the staff came in to use the facilities,... More

We dined here in the restaurant one night during our 3 nights in the town. The food was excellent, and the waiter hardworking and courteous. But I can never remember a hotel not having a wine list, or hardly any wine, and no white wine chilled. The waiter was embarrassed. The restaurant wasn't busy, but too busy for just one... More

Just returned from one of the hotels 2 night B&B plus evening meal deal for £98 per person. Having read some of the reviews here I was abit concerned about what we might find - thankfully nothing as bad as some reviewers have stated. For a weekend break in a seaside town we thought it was good value for money... More
