We stay here with friends visiting the Malvern Show each Spring and Autumn and it is like having a second home with Matthew and his staff's kind and friendly attention. The food is excellent and the bar warm and cosy. Rooms are spotless and decorated in a very attractive homely style. Breakfast is plentiful and very tasty. In other words... More

Just spent a lovely 4 days here and cannot fault it. The room was so comfortable and clean. While we were here a new stair carpet was being laid and I couldn't wait to walk on it it was so comfortable . Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. We dined in the Vu restaraunt and also in the bar... More

First of all, don't be put off by the unfavourable reviews of this place. I took the time to read all the 'terrible' and 'poor' reviews and found that almost all the reviewers had not even stayed in the hotel! They had only used the bar/restaurant. Their complaints are often rather petty, such as being asked not to bring a... More

We have just returned from an evening meal and were well satisfied by the food, drinks and friendly service. However, perhaps as other reviewers have said, the hotel is more friendly to dogs than to children. We can't say, because we were just two adults. On previous occasions we have been too conscious of dogs beside and under several tables... More

This hotel/pub is in a prime position with a largely captive market, which is probably why they feel they can charge the prices they do. It is always busy at weekends and the service is by and large friendly. However, the food is very poor if you venture beyond jacket potatoes and baguettes. We ordered two fish dishes at £12... More

Just spent a weekend there for the walking. In the day time there a lots of walkers and tourists in the bar and outside. But come evening time the restaurant is very good for residents and casual visitors alike. Excellent menu, all really well cooked, presented and served. Minor irritation was that the room suffered from the noise of the... More

A lovely spot to relax after a good walk in the rain. Food was OK, I had steak baguette which was rather tasteless - the meat and the bread- with a piece of plastic in it (looked like sauce had been squeezed from the plastic). Drinks very expensive. From reviews they seem to prefer dogs to children, no problem taking... More

Always wanted to stay at this hotel and I'm so glad we did. The service was briiliant and the food was fantastic. We arrived late for our food but the receptionist was so helpful. Had the best fillet steak for as long as I can remember.

Two business colleagues and myself met there for lunch on Monday 25th March. It was a convenient location for a brief business meeting. We were looked after extremely well by all the staff. We were the only guests in the restaurant but the bar was pretty full. The service was quick and attentive, the food was excellent and we were... More

We used the hotel as a base to explore (walking and driving) the Malvern Hills. Very comfortable and good value. We ate in the bar restaurant twice - lively and friendly with excellent service and good meals. Rooms were well maintained. The only negative was the weak wi-fi service. Did not connect in our room even though the hotel front... More
