The staff was unfriendly, bordering on rude. There is one bathroom for four rooms, and someone got it dirty in the middle of the night. No offer of breakfast. I could feel the springs poking my back through the mattress. I wished I had taken an earlier flight home. It was a sad end to a wonderful trip to England.

Arrived early evening and shown a nice twin room upstairs and offered breakfast the next morning. Room was very clean and comfortable and very reasonable price too. Toilet and bathroom separate and shared facilities the only minor drawback.Good place for overnight stop over.

Richard was a good host, but the property is very tired. The rooms were a decent value, but having one bathroom for 4 or 5 guest rooms is unacceptable. This is the right place only if you are looking for a cheap place to stay that is a 15-minute walk from the train station, the castle, and an evening meal.

Interesting one here. as another review, I didn't spot no en-suite when booked so did feel a little strange although no issues getting into the shared bathroom.
