I chose to stay here rather than a large inpersonal hotel just to be with true local people in a true English location rather than a hundred other business travellers just wanting to pass the night wherever. The swan is just so English, a wood burning fire, armchairs and newspapers just begging you to relax with a pint and spend... More

The staff was unfriendly, bordering on rude. There is one bathroom for four rooms, and someone got it dirty in the middle of the night. No offer of breakfast. I could feel the springs poking my back through the mattress. I wished I had taken an earlier flight home. It was a sad end to a wonderful trip to England.

Arrived early evening and shown a nice twin room upstairs and offered breakfast the next morning. Room was very clean and comfortable and very reasonable price too. Toilet and bathroom separate and shared facilities the only minor drawback.Good place for overnight stop over.

We stayed here to go to the Olympic rowing at Eton Dornay. It was so convenient, a 10 minute walk to Windsor Racecourse and a further 15 minutes from there to Eton Dornay. Car parking is free which was a huge bonus. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The bathroom is shared but this was no problem, there is... More

My room at The Swan was quite small, even for one person, and we were two. Still, I have no hesitation recommending The Swan as a good place for a short stay while exploring Windsor and Eton. I spent considerable time downstairs in the pub watching TV, petting the dogs Lucy and Molly, and chatting with the proprietor Richard. Richard... More

This is friendly traditional B&B in a pleasant and convenient location (great for Windsor racecourse) .It’s attached to a pub and they do what they do well. The room was spacious and clean, tea making facilities, great continental breakfast, free parking! Shared bathroom (between 4 rooms). This isn’t 5 star, but c’mon £45 (single occupancy) in Windsor including parking is... More

Richard was a good host, but the property is very tired. The rooms were a decent value, but having one bathroom for 4 or 5 guest rooms is unacceptable. This is the right place only if you are looking for a cheap place to stay that is a 15-minute walk from the train station, the castle, and an evening meal.

Interesting one here. as another review, I didn't spot no en-suite when booked so did feel a little strange although no issues getting into the shared bathroom. Only comment is the shower could do with a bit of attention/retile. Very friendly landlord & room clean & comfortable so for a budget stay & pretty central location plus a pub at... More
