nice room, clean tidy bedroom, free coffee-biscuits-water,clean toilet but only 1 thing let it down - shower head scaled up and held up with tape! Difference between 4 or 5 click rating! Ate downstairs in the wetherspoons pub with good fast service and plenty of choice on the menu.Friendly helpful receptionist.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and have never had a bad experience. It is about 10 mins walk from the station and is close to some lovely pubs, and the shops.you can also walk to the Cathedral from there. It is attached to a Wetherspoons so if you want to have all your meals in there ,it will be... The King's Head is very central and good value compared to other hotels in the area. Plus, it has the advantage of an attached Whetherspoons pub, so you can eat and drink and sleep merrily without having to go out into the night air - and again cheaply! The young team of staff are very friendly and polite - with... More

We stayed at the King's Head for five nights over the Easter Holidays. Before, I had my reservations about staying in 'pub rooms' with our child as I am personally not keen on children being in pubs and we avoid it wherever possible. I needn't have worried as you might never know. The lodge entrance is separate to the general... More

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel, just like last time, noise was an issue. I stated at the front of the hotel, you may think that Salisbury is a quiet city, you'd be wrong! Shouting till 4am in the morning and then after 5am the utilities lorrys start up and down the street. I know you... More

Went to Kings Head with six friends on a Saturday lunchtime. The place was quite busy but seating wasn't a problem. All ate different things from the menu. The most questionable were the roasts as the meat was reported to be quite tough. However, I had the fish and chips which was very palatable . On a positive note the... More

Ok, first of all if you don't like Wetherspoons, you may not like this lodge hotel. I don't dislike them, I think they offer good value food and drink with, usually, good service. The benefit of a hotel over a pub is you can get great priced breakfast, lunch or dinner and drinks from 7am until 10pm. This lodge is... More

This is the third Wetherspoon hotel we have stayed in. They are consistent as you would expect from a chain but are not basic and are usually situated in interesting old buildings. They provide little extras which you would not expect for the price-extra pillows and biscuits (good ones). Rooms very clean and pleasantly decorated. Reception staff very welcoming and... More

Friendly staff at a clean hotel. Centrally situated for sightseeing the City of Salisbury. A little noisy as I was there on a Saturday night and had the young people outside on the street. However they were no worse or no better than any other centre. Took two meals in the pub downstairs which we all felt were well priced,... More
