We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday, a party of four. We all ate mains, including the two little pies, an inspired combination; a fish pie with a lovely selection of fish, crisp battered fish with chunky chips; and tangy pork and cider sausages on a beautiful patty of bubble and squeak. Excellent! My husband was delighted to find... More

Myself and two colleagues visited this pub, as it looked quite inviting from the outside. Entering through the main street door one is presented with a smallish bar and dining area. However, after taking the time to go for a wander the place seems to expand outwards, with another bar/dining area past the bar and a massive beer garden, ideal... More

Visited this pub recently for lunch. Very quiet considering it was a Sunday. It was clean and has lots of quirkiness about it. We couldn't get any of the drinks we ordered either because they didn't stock them or there wasn't any chilled and ready. We settled for alternatives. Ordering food was easy and it came fairly promptly. When it... More

Old pub in centre of Salisbury serving very decent pub grub.An inviting log fire on a chilly April day, pleasant and accommodating staff serving hearty pub food what more could one ask for.The lunches are copious and value for money ,the service was quick and courteous. We would call in again when in the area.

Had a great time last night in Picolino`s. The venue is better upstairs in my opinion, the food was hot and presented well and the service fantastic. Our waiter, Nando, even sang an Italian version of Happy Birthday to a colleague !. You dont often see that these days. Try the Seabass. Its probably the best l have had and... More

After reading the reviews on trip advisor and hearing the locals rave about this place we thought it would be the perfect place for lunch. The menu looks and sounds great but the service and the overall experince let this place down. We arrived at 1.40, which is not too early for lunch, and the Inn , although had many... More

This pub is a real gem in the middle of Salisbury! The building is very old and worthy of a visit just for this. Friendly staff (especially the one the others refer to as Coco), very good and filling food and a very warm and welcoming environment. Coco told me that there is allegedly a tunnel between the pub and... More

Having trawled around Salisbury Christmas shopping I was very pleased to stumble across this charming pub. We were welcomed by the bar staff who were happy to help, nothing was too much trouble and they made good suggestions for food and drink. We managed to find a table beside a roaring log fire and settled in for the afternoon. The... More

We had booked a table for 4 people for my mothers Birthday, we arrived on time for our booking. We went to the bar to let the staff know we were here and she looked startled that there was a booking and confirmed the amount of people and name several times, we were "aimed" at our table which was very... We went in for a drink, intending to stay a couple of hours, but were astounded when one of the bar staff finally stopped chatting to friends and we did get served - to be asked to pay £7.00 for a double G&T. It might be fine for food, but at those prices, we weren't going to hang around and... More
