This was the second time within a year that I've stayed here. The staff are friendly and jolly, and they sprovide a good breakfast (subject to comments that follow!). The rate is a very fair one, considering it's only ten minutes walk to the city centre, and for a business traveller (such as me) it's just what you want: not... More

We had a great stay at Victoria Lodge. The owners were only too happy to accept our dog staying. The only issue we had was a pathetic shower. More

During our visit, the weather had turned warm, and we had to leave the windows open during the night; usually this is not... More

Being one of the top recommendations of the tourist information and charging a price of 120 pounds for one night outside the city centre creates expectations. The price combined with a long walking distance to town (with heavy traffic), slow service at breakfast, problems to get the toilet to work and not better than needed rooms standard gave a negative... We stayed here for 5 nights occupying two rooms on the ground floor. Our daughter had a single room and whilst the room was small, it had everything she needed and wanted i.e private bathroom, TV, tea making facilities, wi-fi. She was very comfortable and cosy. Our double room was at the front of the hotel and admittedly, if you... More

I had booked a sister retirement flat but it was not to my liking so I asked to get back to my favourite B and B and was very lucky as they could squeeze me in.No recriminations about me trying to go elsewhere because it was cheaper,Just a warm welcome and my old room to boot.I was filming in London...
