After reading two previous bad reviews (which I think is fairly obvious were the same person) I phoned the hotel before booking and spoke to this "terrible racist person" who of course was nothing of the sort! I booked and then arrived on a Saturday afternoon and found both the owners really nice and chatty with good advice. We were... More

I stayed in a non en-suite room, I found no inconveniece with this, the communal bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The location is great for the Universities, Headingly or Leeds City Centre. The cooked breakfast is an optional extra, and great. The staff I met were fantasically helpful, friendly and a pleasure to speak to. It was exceptional value for... More

The Moorlea Hotel in Leeds where my teenage daughter and I shared a twin room not ensuite in March 2011 is a lovely old fashioned warm comfortable guest house with tastefully decorated spacious rooms and breakfast room and is very reasonably priced. The full English breakfast was very nice and saw us through the day till tea time. Its also... More

My husband and I stayed here for 1 week while he was working at the University. The location is great. It's a 5 minute walk to the University and about 15 minutes to the train station. The accommodations were great and Albert provided us with anything we needed (he always asked us if needed anything in our room). Since we... More

I found the Moorlea B&B very unfriendly place and not welcoming at all! I had a bad experience staying at this B &B for two nights for a conference in Leeds University. The room was very small, not well-equipped and not that clean. The remote control for the TV did not work, the shower did not work properly, and there... More

I have recently stayed at the Moorlea because of a conference. I have to say I have been to many B&Bs in the U.K., this one simply is the worst I have ever been to. I wanted to check in earlier than I planned. When I get to the door nobody answered me. When I re-checked in later and mentioned... More

Was very happy with a recent stay at the Moorlea in Leeds. It's in a nice leafy, quiet area, just down the street from the university. Takes about 15-20 minutes to walk into the town centre. The building is an old red-brick Victorian terrace. While it doesn't have much in the way of original features left inside, it's clean and... More

If you're happy with a basic, clean room in a good location, then the Moorlea is fine. However, although the weather was not unseasonally cold, the room was. And to compound the problem, the duvets are too short for a tall man. The power shower never exceeded a trickle and varied from freezing cold to pretty damn hot with just... More

Forget corporate hotels when visiting Leeds - the Moorlea offers something more - great facilites including internet access, parking and best of all individual attention from Albert and Adele. I really couldn't ask for more from a B&B, great rates too! Moorlea is my favourite accomodation when visitng Leeds and I would recommend it to anyone. More
