Stayed here for 2 nights on business. Lovely old hotel with welcoming and polite staff on reception. My room, which looked out onto the main Square, was a good size with very comfortable double bed. Visited this hotel as a getaway weekend, what a beautiful hotel, rooms clean and comfortable, slight problem with the dinner of the first night but the Maitre d was more than apologetic and corrected the problem, which to my mind is the sign of a proffessional,, will certainly stay there again. great stay this weekend. cocktails and food in the bar were excellent, and a lovely atmosphere. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very knowledgable and helpful. The food was really good - I particularly liked the pizza, house salad and treacle sponge pudding! Room dusty/grubby around edges, pillow protectors, very dirty under clean linen. Had to use two hands to operate the shower. I stayed here last night and was truly disappointed with the whole experience. Okay so the room was quite cheap (£90) but the window in my room wouldn't close (it was open when I got there) so I called reception and they sent someone up who tried his best to close it. Stayed here on a 2 night business trip in January and was happily impressed. The rooms are not modern but more oldy classic. But they were beautifully done with flat screen tv and wonderful bedsheets. Breakfast was delicious and fresh and there were lots of staff on hand to assist. Would be happy to stay again. More
