Have stayed on various occasions. Rooms vary in quality, size and convenience. No lifts to some rooms. Internet can be very hit & miss as to whether it works. Conveniently placed for University of Birmingham. Can be a bit cheaper if you book on line.

I was expecting the worst after reading all of the tripadvisor reviews but upon arriving at my room, I was pleasantly surprised. I was doing a course at the local university and this hotel is conveniently located a 10 minute walk away. The "hotel" is an old student hall of residence which has been converted into a 4* hotel. The... More

Very strange venue, can't be called a Hotel, it's student halls of residence, nothing more nothing less. Reception is extremely difficult to find even with the state of the art "Sat Nav", not well sign posted I drove past it 3 times. The rooms are in another building and means trailing throw the freezing rain to get to another building.... More

The room and furniture bought back nostalgic memories of student hall accomodation - the room was not partiularly modern or large but was reasonably clean and had basic amenities. It was disappointing that the bar was not open in the evenings. The breakfast was mixed and not of particularly good quality - on the second morning the bacon was practically... More

Stayed for 3 nights to care for baby while her parents attend a conference. Small room, cot provided. Room clean. Kettle and teas, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, room fan provided in room. Tiny shower - no bath hence tricky to wash baby. Good choice for breakfast but do not eat here for dinner - service very slow even... More

As the review below suggests looking for Logan house I thought I would amend it and say it is the Lucas house. Our room was across the street, it had basic amenities but the room was clean. The bathroom was very small and the biggest disappointment was the shower running out of hot water! This cost them 1 star. Satisfied,... More

I would love to be able to comment on the standard of accomodation in this hotel. Unfortunately I can't because I never got the chance to stay here. The hotel cancelled my reservation at very short notice and left me high and dry. Not very funny when the reason for the stay was an important interview. According to Booking.com the... More

We stayed here recently while my husband had business at the university. The most important thing to know is that the sign is marked Conference Park and the building is marked Logan House even though all the pre-stay correspondence (at least in our case) is marked Venue Birmingham. There's no sign that says Venue Birmingham! Once we found it we... More

Hi: this is a very good point! - we are not allowed to post very large signs on the road, and so you are well advised to do what this person says. All I would add is that you should look for the sign to Lucas House and not Logan House - as we don't in fact have a Logan... More

Stayed in hotel for one night, no lift & was on the second floor with heavy bags to carry! Got to be a... More

I stayed for a Friday and Saturday night to attend a distance learning post grad course at University of Birmingham. The venue is well looked after, very clean and comfortable.
