We treated ourselves to an afternoon tea at this hotel yesterday to celebrate our 50th Birthdays. We were greeted warmly by Geoffrey who looked after us extremely well. We received complimentary pink champagne with strawberries for our special occasion and the afternoon tea was delicious. Very good value for money and there was so much food that we had to...

I booked this a long time ago when the hotel was The Mint, when I heard it had become a Hilton I was very wary, I can't say I've had anything like a reasonable stay Ian Hilton ever before.
This was different. I stayed all day, had a meeting room, I'd booked this for myself and 6 colleagues, we went...

As you can tell by the name now, the Mint Hotel was purchased by Hilton Garden Inn at the beginning of this month (February 2012).
Despite the change of ownership I didn't have any issues.
The hotel is an excellent location for business. If you have work in this area, you will have a choice of several good hotels.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my Fiancée in December with the idea of going to the Christmas markets over the festive period.
Over all I was very happy with the stay.
This Hotel is in a great location it’s a short walk right into the centre of things. Even I managed this with a foot that was recovering...

Stayed for one night over the weekend having never stayed in a Mint hotel before. Quite impressed with the standard of fittings (especially with the apple TV!) and a super comfy bed. Free wifi was a good addition. The room was well insulated from noise both within and outside the hotel. Didn't try any of the restaurants. Not the cheapest...

I've stayed at mint hotels in London and Leeds and can't really fault
them. I really like the decor and style of the hotels but the one in
Birmingham is very second rate in comparison. Firstly I arrived and
asked where the gym was but was told it was shut for the next two weeks,
I wish they had told...

I stayed here at the start of Jan 2012. This is my second stay at the Mint. I’ve previously stayed at the Radisson Blu on previous visits to Birmingham but I much prefer the Mint because of its location to Brindley Place and all things central.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable with iMacs to use free of charge which...

We stayed here for one night after visiting a concert in Birmingham.
First impressions on arriving were good - nice, new building in a good location - a very short distance from the National Indoor Arena where we would be going that evening.
We managed to get a space in the hotel's underground car park (£12.50/night). Lucky my car is...
