Stayed Tuesday night Wednesday morning. While this hotel does not offer luxury it is modern, clean and the staff where very helpful. We had a room on the fourth floor, no problem with noise. I would recommend the Ibis if you want a clean functional hotel at a very reasonable rate, (£47 for a night in a double room) The... More

When I checked in, I was asked to pay the amount right away which is not an issue, but then after I had dinner in restaurant, I asked the staff if they could charge the amount to my room which the staff refused. I tried to tell that I would like to have one invoice from the hotel including the... More

We picked this hotel as it was very close to the Hippadrome Theatre .as we had tickets for High Society that evening. The bar is located next to reception and booking in was difficult as there was so much noise from drinkers! This was at 12.00pm we were hoping to watch Sky Sports as our team Bradford City was playing... More

Scores well o all 6 metrics above. Location near to New Street Station superb. The Le Truc french brasserie next door provides excellent synergy for hotel and restaurant. Only disappointment is the breakfast is not as good as previous visits. Many items no longer served. A big mistake to over-economize in this area! It creates a bad impresion for a... More

Had booked a room for two nights five weeks in advance. Turned up to check in at 11pm and found 5 people in front of me and no staff in sight. Turns out the hotel was overbooked and the staff were sort of "hiding" due to the complaints being raised. They came out every so often and said they were... More

A good all rounder which is clean and bright and ideally located for Birmingham city centre whether business or pleasure. The breakfast with good choice of cooked or patisserie should set you up for the working day.

I booked 5 twin rooms for 27/04/2013. On check in the hotel seemed clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful. My complaint relates to the noise we suffered during the night and attitude of your staff on reception during the night and the following morning. We had 5 rooms on the 1st floor scattered around, 120, 122, 123,... More

This hotel is right slam bang in one of Birmingham's most boisterous night club areas. Don't know which came first but Ibis, which is normally a well-run good value hotel chain, should not be having a hotel here. The noise from the electronic music, which went on till the early hours of the morning, is beyond decibel description. The whole... More

Apologies that on this occasion you were disappointed with your stay at Ibis Birmingham City Centre. We do have an ongoing issue with noise pollution at the hotel due to its proximity to the local nightlife. Although we have taken positive steps to try and reduce the noise levels, we do sometimes struggle, especially over the weekend. I do hope... More

Stayed here for 1 night as I had a conference event to attend in the hotel. Room was very clean. It was quite small as the bed was probably a bit too close to the door.
