My partner and I have just spent a weekend at the hotel and had to put a review forward for it. from the minute we walked out of the lift when we first arrived until the moment we left - we had a great experience. EVERY member of staff seemed to be very friendly and forthcoming - offering assistance in... More

receptionist was brilliant throughout the stay from firstly talking us to the car park from to dealing with wifi problems and finding camera shops, nothing was too much trouble. Located on the river and surrounded by restaurants , cafes and bars the location is great. Breakfast was good and plentiful and piping hot ! Rooms were clean and the beds... More

Had a fantastic time in Newcastle. The Waterside Hotel was an excellent choice. Reasonably priced, great room and superb breakfast. Well worth a visit. Will definately be back. Staff very friendly and could not do enough for you. Hotel very centrally placed for the town centre. Bit of a hill to climb to get there, but well worth it. There... More

Good value for money hotel in great location on the Quayside with plenty of restaurants on the doorstep as the hotel is only bed and breakfast. Girls on reception and in the dining rooms are very friendly and the quality of food is okay. Rooms beginning to show signs of wear and tear and need a little tlc. However the... More

Stayed for one night on business in Newcastle... Receptionist excellent. Off street parking ok...in what is a built up area. Bedroom was small but quite clean. Wetroom area for the shower...needs grab rails. If there is a producer and fitting service for grab rails in bathroom...there are plenty of hotels needing them.....I always seem to find the ones without such... More

We arrived at The Waterside on Saturday afternoon having read some bad reviews on our drive down and feeling a little worried. The Hotel is well located for the bars and City Centre but is above a Jimmy's bar which we had read was the cause of noise and distrubed sleep for other people. The receptionist was really lovely and... More

My first trip here was as a teen back in the 90's and I returned here for a recent weekend break with my wife. The hotel has become a little jaded in the 15 years that have passed and is in dire need of a bit of TLC. There is a distinct smell of damp in the hallways but fortunately... More

We stayed for 2 nights last week. We recieved a lovely warm welcome from the receptionist, who instantly made us feel welcome. I strongly believe this hotel is fantastic value for money; we don't know anywhere else in Newcastle that you can get a room which includes breakfast, free internet and free parking for around £55 per night. We felt... More

We stayed here for one night. Our room was bright and had a good view. Good supply of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, as well as shampoo etc. Agree that furniture had seen better days, but bed was comfortable and breakfast was good. We would stay here again.

We stayed here for one night. The place was good altogether, but there were some problems when you looked at the details. The room we stayed in was bright. The view from the window was great, with the Tyne Bridge right in focus - really awesome. The bed was really comfy and big, which was also good. And there was... More
