Our first stay in the idyllic forest chalet, 'Five Pines' and by no means disappointed. The chalet itself is immaculate with every amenity you could possibly require. The setting in the forest is stunning, as are the countryside surroundings. Peter and Gill are fantastic hosts.. We were especially grateful to both of them for rescuing us from a country lane... Booked urgently after being let down by another hotel as they'd double booked. Arrived late and was met by a deer in the field. Had an excellent nights sleep in a lovely large, clean, warm room. Lovely breakfast and Gill and daughter very welcoming. Can not fault.....was a stroke of luck that laterooms let me down and ended up paying... More

Somewhat surprisingly the chalet, which I know has been booked-out for most of the time as I tried to book and couldn't get in, had that 'new'... More

We stayed in the gorgeous self contained lodge and had the most amazing time! Accomodation is top notch - lovely lounge, kitchen, bedroom etc. It has such a homely cottage (yet modern) feel and the sourroundings are just beautiful. Perfect for a romantic get away! There are so many lovely walks and pubs nearby, so plenty to keep you occuipied.... More

I stayed at the Lockhurst Hatch (a 16th century farm) on a couple of occasions doing weekend circular walks with my wife and daughters. Going here is like stepping into the past, you could almost be in medieval England. On our first visit we came by foot, rucksacks on our backs, and our welcome was fantastic. We stayed in the... We had a lovely week long stay here June 2009. We stayed in the new self catering lodge in the woods. The owners were available for any questions and greeted us with a lovely cake! They were also very friendly. I had a bit of trouble adjusting to the bed (which coming from America, I found to be a bit... More

- astonishingly so for somewhere so close to London, the M25 & so on. (It's not significantly overflown by Heatrhrow or Gatwick traffic either.) Five Pines makes an excellent self-catering alternative for business people visiting this part of Surrey but wanting a break from commercial hotels, as well as being the peaceful holiday base others have described here. The only... More

If you like tranquilty in a beautiful countryside then this is the place for you! We stayed in 'Five Pines' the self catering wooden log cabin. It was clean, and very well equipped, most places i've stayed i've had to buy washing up liquid, cloths, handwash and had to bring my own towels, but not here! It had absolutely EVERYTHING... More
