The beauty of this B&B is that you are treated like one of the family. Nothing was too much trouble for Eileen and her family and we had a wonderful two night stay. When the weather improves, (ever the optimist), it is a beautiful location to take a walk or just sit in the grounds. When we are next in... More

I have been remiss in posting this review in a more timely manner as this was, by a wide margin, the best B&B at which we have ever stayed. At the risk of repeating what previous reviewers have said, this B&B is a real find. Located in the countryside in a beautiful location, this Tudor house is full of charm... More

My husband & I found this gorgeous B&B by chance but will definitely be revisiting when next in the area. We arrived late, following a meal at a nearby gastro pub, booked for us by our host, Eileen. On arriving at West Stow Hall we were invited into the kitchen for a coffee and then we retired to our most... More

What a brilliant place! A location rich in history. Interesting features from paintings to steam engines. Food, drink and bonbons to pamper the palate. Furnished to ease away the strain in an authentic country house environment. We loved it. Particularly the history tour given by Andy. Thank you Andy and Eileen.

The building is fantastic, full of character. It was a pleasure just to walk around the rooms in the house. The hosts, Eileen, Andy & Monty (very friendly dog) were there to please & help. Always ready for a chat. Our bedroom was big, bright & clean with a lovely comfortable bed. Ensuite bathroom is what you would expect from... More

We stayed in the chalet for a long weekend and we had the most wonderful time. We were very sad to leave! Eileen and Andy were super hosts and the chalet was cosy and warm! It was really hard to leave. Eileen and Andy also have two most adorable dogs!

I stayed here for a few days with my boyfriend and two other friends while the three of them were doing a recording for a week in Bury St Edmunds - they were out all day and only got to enjoy the house during the superb breakfasts in their cavernous kitchen by the aga (kippers, bacon, eggs, sausages, toast, porridge,... We have just returned from a wonderful 1 night stay in the studio. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and tea and cakes in the families kitchen. The studio was warm and toastie despite snow flurries outside and Eileen had even put hot water bottles in our bed.The house is absolutely amazing with many original Tudor features and it is... This was a superb place to stay. We were treated so well from the start to the finish of our stay. The hall itself is such a wonderful place to stay in, particularly if you like history. Eileen made our stay- everything was catered for and we were so well looked after. We had the studio in the grounds which... More

A truly stunning historic building in beautiful surroundings. Just stayed here for 4 nights. My room was huge, comfortable, luxurious and warm with a huge en-suite bathroom. The attention to detail and little personal touches such as a bowl of chocolates,a tin of luxury biscuits and a decanter of sherry in the room all added to the feeling of being thoroughly pampered. The... More
