Stayed for 2 nights. The price was very good and the location was fantastic, very central and walking distance to everything. The hostel itself was not amazing. The staff were not very helpful or friendly, the hostel was not very clean. The bathrooms were disgusting! As was the kitchen and common area. The place was a bit run down and... More

I stayed in the Bath Backpackers Hostel for three nights in mid-March. By the end, I was glad to be gone--the place is serviceable and clean, but so very poorly heated and just generally in need of some TLC. My biggest problem was how cold the inside of the hostel was. The front door is left unlocked all day (as... More

A group of 7 of us stayed for 2 nights in the "metal room" situated at the top of this gargantuan building. The first thing you need to know about the metal room is that the roof leaked. We found this out after we rolled in at nearly midnight and discovered 2 of the beds soaking wet. It required 3... More

The rooms were fine, warm, clean etc. However the staff were rude and very unhelpful. Charged for everything and were not upfront in telling us this, making us go and get money out twice and then couldn't even split our deposit in two when given back. Also only two power outlets in a room for ten people! Not ideal!

This place was okay-by english standards it was good-anywhere else it was bad. My bed was comfortable and i think everything was clean. The room had a bad smell and only had one plug in. One plug in loses it a full star! Especially because it was behind a bunk bed-and there for i could not access it at all.... More

The Bath backpackers was undergoing renovations whilst I stayed, however there was no disruptive noises whilst I was there, although the Dungeon (party area) was closed. The common room was a great place to chill out with free tea and coffee available. The dorms were atypical of backpacker accommodation. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, it doesn't have an... More

I had never stayed in a hostel before, so I didn't really know what to except. I knew I would be sharing a dorm with strangers, which didn't bother me in the slightest. It was great when I arrived in Bath; it was so clean and elegant and sophisticated, so I was feeling really positive about the hostel. But when... More

My two brothers, a nephew and I stayed here last night in a private room for four @ £25 each. There was a PIN code lock on our bedroom door and lockers inside, (although we could use one locker because somebody else had left a padlock was in the door). The guy at the desk was friendly, the room o.k.... More

I stayed here once years ago and don't remember being this unhappy with it. I just returned today from a 3-day stay and wish that I had paid a little more for a nicer place and my own room. First, the beds are so hard and uncomfortable that I didn't sleep decently the entire time. My back is absolutely killing... More

I always find hostels strange. But we needed somewhere cheap and easy. They staff were a bit rude and seemed quick to take a deposit which we didnt get back. Our dorm was clean enough despite other reviews. Would'nt describe as "Cheap and cheerful" - more "Cheap" but convenient. Wouldnt recommend for family or a couple! Would say it's worth... More
