- George Hotel Reading

I was upgraded to a superior room on arrival due to the hotel being busy. The staff were polite, professional and helpful. This is a very old hotel that has got a modern interior, which is a pleasant combination. My superior room was big, well decorated and comfortable and came with a Nespresso machine! It faced out onto one of...

We've stayed at this hotel a few times and have found it a lovely stay every time.
It has a distinct Dickens flavour, due to the writers preference for this inn whilst traveling through Reading, which to be fair is the reason why we chose here. Our favourite room is "Great Expectations". It's quiet and lovely and large and comfortable....

The hotel is decent enough, clean and pleasant with a good central location. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within a couple of yards. The Hobgoblin across the road serves some fine real ales. The only downside is when you park you have to stagger across town or through the Oracle centre with all your bags and coats to...

Perfect location in central Reading. Parking about 5 minutes walk away. Nice building which is in one of the oldest in town. Waling distance to shopping and restaurants. Nice, fiendly and knowledgable staff.

good value single room in a central location but don't expect a great nights sleep. My room overlooked the courtyard which meant bright lights outside all night and gave the room a funny orange glow along with the noisy Prezzo kitchen fans. On the plus side staff were welcoming and room was clean if a little tired.

It's smack in the centre of Reading, so it's great for all the amenities nearby. However, along with that goes the fact that you can expect it to be a bit noisy. My room looked out onto the Oracle shopping centre, which has a night club, which of course filters its way into the room to a degree. Take earplugs,...

thank you for posting your thoughts on here, we really do value your feedback. I am a little confused regarding your comments about the noise coming from the night club in the Oracle as it does not have one.
