We celebrated NYE in the Tower House and stayed for 2 nights. We had a very good time and enjoyed 2 good nights of undisturbed sleep. Location is ideal, close to all shops, colleges and musea in Oxford. Breakfast was very good and much better than the typical continental we often got elsewhere. We were served fresh croissants and toasts,... More

I've just spent two days being an anxious parent while my daughter has been having interviews at an Oxford College. I was so relieved to receive such a warm welcome, despite arriving at this Guest House very early in the morning, well before the usual check-in time. My room was very comfortable and had everything I needed - fast broadband,... More

We spent two nights at the Tower House (Jade Room) and it was just what we were promised and wanted. We heard no noise, but didn't have windows open. Great to pop-in and pop-out during the days of sightseeing. The room was clean, breakfast was not cooked but did have fresh warm bread and coffee. This is a 700 year... More

This is a very good location, as you are in the centre of everything you will want to see in Oxford. However, if you have a room facing the street it is very noisy. There was constant foot traffic all night - I was woken at 4:30 am by young people outside our window almost every night. Because it was... More

Central location is excellent for exploring Oxford. However, there is no parking so you need to leave your car at a Park and Ride or very expensive NCP. The hotel is a converssted house (very old, so quite quaint) - however -the rooms are tiny, although clean, as was the very small bathroom. Breakfast was 'adequate'. The room was very... More

Oxford is both very expensive and quite difficult to find places to stay. This place is a real gem. It is central, the room was nice and clean. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was better than expected. Have rebooked our next stay. More

Located a short walk from EVERYTHING in Oxford. Feels like staying with family in their antique home. It's typical UK though - small bathroom, no elevator, narrow corridors. If these are not your big concerns then this is the place for you. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, the internet was free, the bed was... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Tower House in June. The building has amazing history and character, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast substantial. You couldn't ask for a better location to explore Oxford on foot! Thanks to all for a lovely stay! More

Stayed at the Tower House for 2 nights. First thing to note. There is NO convenient parking in Oxford city centre. The only parking available is park & ride out of the city. £2.20 for the bus in. And only 2 sites allow parking for >24hrs. Pay & display is charged at exorbitant rates. I'm talking ~£25 for daytime (0800-2000hrs)... More

Quiet place right in the centre of the city and so it's very convenient. This was offset by the room decor and tidyness which left something to be desired and the breakfast was average, however. The Tower House is medievel and part of it was connected to the old city walls. It has a ghost (we didn't see it). More
