A lovely 2 night stay at The Lamb Inn with my mum and sister, having 3 separate rooms. Mum. Needing a ground floor room as no lift worked out really well except for the beautiful but uneven stone floors! For the elderly may not be a good idea for some but mum adapted easily and the inn was spacious and... More

We visited here with friends for a one night stay, lovely location, rooms were spacious and welcoming! The service was lovely, especially Jakub. We had afternoon tea which was nice. The only problem came at dinner when one of us ordered the 'ham egg & chips', the pork belly was sadly all fat and only a tiny piece of meat,... More

Thank you for your review and enjoyment of our hotel and staff. I hope that in the future we can organise a meal more to your preference. Belly pork is a fatty cut of meat but for our restaurant serving we trim this as much as possible. I look forward to the opportunity to organising a meal to help you... More

We had dinner twice at The Lamb Inn. Both times the meals were great, staff great, great atmosphere, was nice chatting to the locals. One night was 'pie night' they were very good. I had lamb and apricot, pretty big meal. Seems very popular place for the locals which is always a good sign that the place is popular.

We had a very interesting, but enjoyable lunch at The Lamb. It started poorly though. After moving rooms to get a better table we ordered some drinks and started to peruse the menu. After a couple of minutes a manager or supervisor came over to say that unfortunately they did not have the rose wine we had ordered (two glasses).... More

Thank you for your kind review and I am very pleased that you enjoyed your visit. Please excuse that we ran out of our rosé wine by the glass and that the replacement was not suitable. It is rarely that we are out of stock and we always offer an alternative. I think it a little dramatic to be staggered... More

With atmosphere and charm,The Lamb Inn is really a wonderful place to stay in the Cotswolds. Attractively furnished, with a homey charm, it also has a lovely courtyard which was wonderful to sit in when the sun (finally) came out. Also notable is the food, which is imaginative and delicious, using ingredients from the region when available. The service too... More

We have just returned home from two nights at The Lamb Inn. We don't get away very often so it was really important to us that the place we stayed was nice. I spent a long time deciding by looking at many places on Trip Advisor. I have to say we made the right choice. From the minute we walked... More

Dinner, bed and breakfast was a relaxing overnight break. Well worth the extra £20 for a superior room which was spacious with large bathroom. Pre dinner drinks in the bar were not a good idea as it was very busy with bar meals and service was slow (somehow they managed to charge twice on the bill for the drinks ordered... More

I am very pleased that you have enjoyed your stay with us, however disappointed that you did not enjoy the atmosphere in our bar. Being a property which does not attract many “pub drinkers” we attract many diners. This is generally viewed as a huge positive as we have enough space to allow for pre-dinner drinks and the local dining... More

This is a nice Inn where we stayed 3 nights. It’s high quality, pricey and has a distinctive, old-fashioned, beautifully maintained, style e.g., flagstone floors. Quietly situated off the main street of Burford, the staff are friendly, the hotel’s next door to a similar sister hotel (the Bay Tree). Burford’s a pretty village with interesting shops/restaurants, well placed for exploring... More

My wife and I spent the first two nights of our honeymoon at The Lamb forty years ago. Although we have been back since we hadn't stayed until this year. Our first night might have been the chef's night off after a bank holiday but he excelled himself on the second evening. The food was delicious if slightly over-pretentious in... More

I really enjoyed your glowing review. The fact that the Lamb is such an established and historic property is the source of so much of the pride and pleasure that all of the staff feel for the hotel. Thank you for your recognition. More

We stopped in at The Lamb Inn for dinner and had an exquisite evening. We had the tasting menu in the restaurant which was exceptional, as we expected. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and made our night. The restaurant is very pretty and overlooks a nice courtyard.
