The rooms are clean and quiet. You've everything you need and they serve excellent breakfast!! MUST HAVE. And the location is ideal to city centre and train station. Debra is a friendly lady who cooks really well. A good guest house experience for me and my family!

Stayed at Bowmans for a couple of months for work. A warm welcoming place that was always clean and tidy. Nice quiet location only 5-10mins stroll into town, after a lovely breakfast that had several basic options. Would definitely stay again whether it be for work or pleasure.

Everything is absolutely perfect - super clean in every respect, perfect location (very, very easy 10 minute walk to the minster), wonderful breakfast with vegetarians well catered for, rooms made up and towels changed daily and special touches such as chocolates in the room daily.... We had two rooms for four nights and were very pleased with everything. The location was terrific, (5-10 minutes) to the city centre, an easy walk (15 minutes) to the train station and the room was comfortable and clean.
