My partner and I stayed here for two nights in March. It was wonderful. We stayed in the cottage and it was clean, comfortable and cosy. The staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. We ate in the restaurant for dinner one evening and it didn't disappoint with good food, a relaxed atmosphere and attentive service. The... More

On arrival, we were served scones and coffee out in the garden - which is really lovely. Room was clean, spacious and pleasantly decorated. Evening meal was tasty, though it was a bit dark in the dining room. Breakfast was good, and the healthy smoothy of the day was a nice touch. More

Exceptionally clean and well-appointed small hotel, providing a luxurious yet comfortable home from home for a short stay. Our suite was light and spacious, with dual aspect windows over the gardens. Great excitement at how close the Esk Valley Railway was (not to be confused with NYMR), and the opportunity to see this little local line in action from time... More

We booked in for a night whilst touring North Yorkshire and were not disappointed. Quiet out of the way location right in the middle of the moors. Warm wlecome and large well appointed room. Lovely view over the garden and one of the best breakfasts I've eaten anywhere in the world (and I've been around!). Ate at the local pub... More

Great countryside location but not too far from local village ( good pub with good food) & well positioed for day trips out. Although the restaurant is fine for breakfast, there is not a great deal of atmosphere for evening meal but the staff are good & the food is excellent. More

We have just returned from spending two nights at this Hotel. It is near the NYMR so ideally placed for visiting this venue. The Hotel was excellent with beautiful gardens to sit or walk around. The room we had was upstairs with views over the gardens both back and front. The room itself was immaculate and looked as if it had been recently decorated... David welcomed us on arrival and all three rooms were well-appointed and spotlessly clean. The two-storey cottage suite provided a great place for our party to congregate over a chilled bottle of wine. The restaurant is not open on a Monday so we had booked to eat in a local pub. Breakfast was lovely - homemade yoghurt and banana muffins;... More

My husband and I have just had a wonderful weekend away at Broom House, fell upon it quite by chance when searching for accommodation close to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, only wish we had found this superb accommodation years ago when we first started visiting North Yorkshire. We were given an exceptionally warm welcome on our arrival at Broom... More

This was really a beautiful stay... we ended up changing our plans and booking another night here during our holiday in the Yorkshire Moors. Our room overlooked the garden where pheasants roamed and the Eskdale Railway trains (silently) trundled by in the distance. Furnishings are all white, luxurious and sparklingly clean... a real pleasure to enjoy a hot shower (great... More

Lovely place to stay - we wished we could have stayed longer and sample the dinner but we were staying on a Sunday and they only serve Sunday lunch up to 2pm. However, they booked us into a very nice local pub - The Postgate Inn - and we had a lovely evening meal there. We had a lovely and... More
