recently visited this hotel with a group party, everything was well organised, attentive staff, good food and relaxed atmosphere. Clean spacious ,warm rooms. The only against is the lack of a lift but this is stated clearly in the hotel details and they do offer disabled assistance if necessary. My favorite part is it is waiter/waitress service which is ideal for those... My sister & I have just returned from a 2 night stay in one of Saxonville's deluxe twin rooms & we had a wonderful stay. Firstly, every single one of the staff was polite & friendly & made us feel very welcome. The room itself was large & airy & spotlessly clean, with a nice range of complimentary items- tea,... More

We stayed here for a long weeoend. Parking is easy with a large carpark, reception is clean with a lounge area and bar. Our room with a four poster bed, had been recently decorated and was very clean, large and relatively modern. 5 course evening meal was ok, next time we would take just B&B and eat in the town.... We paid £200 for 2 nights B and B and did not think we got value for our money. £120 would have been about right. The place needs a make over it's a bit tired, it's clean enough and the staff were OK but generally poor value. Breakfast not great either, I suggest you shop around.

Second visit to this hotel and whilst the first visit was good, the upgrade to 'deluxe' made a difference. Arrived 4.00ish and was greeted and shown to our room quickly & efficiently. We were given advice about the dining room...times etc.We booked bed, breakfast and dinner...and what a dinner. The dining room is lovely, proper linen and silver, excellent attentive service, and fantastic... More

Stayed here over an extremely wet cold weekend. The hotel was so good,it made up for the atrocious weather. Had a deluxe room, very comfortable and warm with lovely flat screen telly and comfortable chairs.Only slight gripe, shower over bath,a bit difficult to cope with for senior citizens! Restaurant was silver service, most unusual these days. Food at dinner and breakfast was extremely... More

We got a discounted Internet rate, had we paid the full price, this review would not be as positive. The staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was exactly what you would expect from this kind of hotel. The room we had (no.5) was small, but clean. Unfortunately, we were also next to the linen cupboard which meant that it... More

Second time we have stayed at Saxonville. Pleasant well established hotel set back from the beach road by one block. Very friendly and helpful staff and first class breakfast with table service. Guest parking which is a real bonus in Whtiby and walking distance to centre which is about half a mile away.

We spent two nights at the Saxonville, having been impressed by many Tripadvisor reviews, and were not disappointed. We checked in at 3.30 pm, having driven through snow flurries on the North York Moors only to find that the wind was gale force in Whitby and the downpours torrential, so we were a little disappointed to find that there was...
