I have stayed in hostels in London and all over Europe, and this is the first time that I've ever had to make my own bed on arrival. The staff I encountered were polite though. I only stayed one night, and I found the linens cheap and drab (and towel rental overpriced), the layout of the hostel wasn't great, and... More

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you found certain aspects of the hostel unsatisfactory. Looking through the bookings, I noticed that you were in the room upstairs with the communal bathroom next door. The bathroom was recently installed and we specifically put in a larger than average sized shower (my shower at home is smaller!). All of... More

Stayed at the Barmy Badger for 6 weeks and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The kitchen is huge and the common room is very nice. No trouble using the WiFi. Place was very clean and the trash was picked up everyday. Laundry facility was nice. Close to everything! Can walk to several sights,... More

Really nice and helpful staff, nice hostel, garden in the backyard. Sure, it's not the fanciest place on earth, but I can't verify this bedbug stories. The hostel and my room were clean. The place is close to the tube, to bars and pubs. (The mozzarella-pesto burger from Earls Court Tavern is just great!) For this price you'll can't get... More

Awesome place to stay. Spent 5 days here with a friend and we had a blast. The location was brilliant being close to the tube and good local pubs. Stayed in a 4 person rooom which was big with lockers and a bathroom next door. There were a few long termers stayeing who and they were friendly and fun. The... More

I was recommended the Barmy Badger by a friend who had stayed here earlier in the year. This was my first place I went to when I arrived in London and it was a great little place. I was in a 4 person female dorm with an en-suite. The room was sunny with plenty of hanging and storage space and... More

After traveling 15 countries world wide this is the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. I stayed in two rooms. The first a 4 person dorm situated in the attic. The window didn't shut and was wedged permanently open in october! The room wreaked of body odor. The floors were filthy and sticky. The two guys in the room... More

The only GOOD things about this place are...the location is v good, the hostel itself is pretty quiet coz its mainly long term stays and the people are friendly. HOWEVER....the breakfast provided is the worst ive ever seen at a hostel. The rooms are basically ALL WOOD which means there are bed bugs absolutely everywhere. Literally, I can safely say... More

GOOD: Nice quarter, close to metro, a lot of shops, restaurants and bars in 5 min by walk. The receptionist was really nice, kind and friendly, i guess it was only because of him i stayed the all 4 nights. Such a poor guy to sell such rooms!
