We've stayed at the Tavistock several times when visiting on business a pleasure. A really comfortable and dependable 'Art Deco' hotel. Staff are helpful and the rooms whilst typically small like most London budget hotels are clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast is more than adequate and bar prices don't hurt. We will certainly stay again on our next visit.

I stayed in Tavistock hotel couple of times because it is located close to several places I wanted to visit. it is old fashion hotel with small rooms and old furnature which needs serious repair. Staff is not too friendly, the more so, they did not awake me as i asked early in the morning when I was leaving to... More

Great hotel for short stay ~ well situated, good value for money and friendly staff. Rooms basic but clean and comfortable. Package included meal on first night of stay and breakfast each morning. Will definitely visit again!

We stayed here when visiting London as tourists. Close to Russell Square and Euston Square tube stations.and Original Bus Tour stop so very handy. We were also able to walk back from Shaftesbury Theatre after a show. We stayed on the 8th floor and although the room was comfortable enough it was very hot. Had to sleep with window open... More

It's a clean hotel located very conveniently. The auxiliary staff is very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, these are only pros. Rooms looking at the Tavistock Square and Woburn Place are noisy due to endless sirens - day and night. The courtyard sounds like a small airfield thanks to numerous powerful fans - day and night. And only one side facing... More

I am very fussy, this hotel is clean, rooms are excellent for London. I can stay and have done in hotels with higher star ratings which are poor. I stay here for personal and business use and I really cannot fault it for a comfortable stay and good breakfast. Give it a go I am sure you will not be... More

We booked into the Tavistock Hotel as part of a weekend deal with Superbreak, train, hotel and theatre. The hotel is perfectly situated for Russell sq tube station, and it was easy to find. When we arrived we were too early to check in but were allowed without any problems to leave our luggage with them. The staff were helpful and... More

We stayed in this old hotel a while ago and upon check-in found our room very small. Furnishings were very old and the equally tiny beds were soft and uncomfortable. As our room was facing the main street, it was quite noisy throughout the day and night. There was also no air-conditioning in the room and it was stuffy especially... More
